I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with Cindy Sheehan, the Mom who was transformed into a well-known anti-war activist when her son Casey was killed in action in Iraq on April 4, 2004. She is running for US Congress in San Francisco and her campaign wanted some photographs which would portray her in an appropriate light. I enjoyed meeting her and working with her.
This picture says a lot to me.
I wish Cindy and her campaign well. They are an impassioned group and they truly believe in their mission.

I would just like to comment that I was in casey’s unit, and not never, not once did I ever see his mom. In light of what everyone thinks she is doing as being right could cannot be justified by her sons death. Another one of my brothers, Cpl. Forest Jostes also died that miserable night and I had a flag signed by everyone in charlie battery and had it sent to his mother, which in all the things that have happened to her, from her son being killed in action to all her personal problems, she is a light in my life and my family’s. We do not live close to one another, but yet she still finds ways of sending my kids hand made cards for holidays. Her name is Diane Ibbotson and she is a soldiers mother and for as long as I live I believe she will know that her son is being thought of.
She has all the right to speak her mind. She has had a great loss that i wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy
